I updated from OS 10.9.2 to 10.9.3 earlier this week on my mid-2010 27" iMac. Today, Acrobat Pro X update 10.1.10 failed, stating, "The update could not be applied because the Adobe Acrobat application contents were modified since the original installation. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat and check for updates again. Error: 1301"
I attempted a re-install of Acrobat Pro X without first de-installing, but that yielded the same results. Thus, I de-installed Acrobat Pro X, and when I attempted to re-install Acrobat Pro X from the CS6 Design Web Premium image, the installation failed. The main screen stated, "Some items for the following product(s) could not be installed successfully. (Acrobat Icon) The error summary file may help you identify the issue. If the problems persist, please contact Customer Support for further assistance."
The error summary states:
Exit Code: 6

Thinking I might have had a corrupt disk image, I downloaded the CS6 image (DesignWebPremium_CS6_LS16.dmg). Installation from this image failed as well, reporting the same error described above.
I also downloaded the stand alone Acrobat Pro X (AcrobatPro_10_Web_WWEFD.dmg), and installed from that image. The Acrobat Pro X ran through the first two steps quickly (validate & write files), the third slowly (run package scripts), more or less blinked on the last two (validate scripts & running other installations), and yielded the following error: "The installation failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
At this point, I'm reasonably certain these installation errors are being caused by an incompatibility with OS 10.9.3, but can't say that with absolute certainty. I'm also certain I've done everything I can to correct the issue without success. Several hours of my life I'll never get back.
