I am getting the following error each time I open Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional...
"An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the program. It didn't help, got the same error shortly after opening the program.
What is strange is that the problem just suddenly appeared therefore, I believe that it may have been malware related causing this problem. And I have had this program and have been using it without any problems now for over 3 years.
It appears that a vital part of the program is being blocked.
Can anyone please help and offer a detailed solution to this problem? Maybe someone has already encountered it.
Thank you!

Hello, does anyone know why Acrobat X Pro (10 and lower) won't start on Windows 7 (64-bit)? It just doesn't respond whether I try to open files with it or double-click to start the program. Re-installation and Repair doesn't help. I had the same issue with the previous versions of Acrobat on this computer.
Thank you!
Adobe shows I own this product, but I can't figure out how to get it installed on my new machine.
Can anyone help?
Using a MacPro running 10.10.3
This morning Creative Cloud told me there was an update - Adobe Acrobat DC, I clicked update and the install started then stopped asking me to quit an app - can't recall the exact name but it was something like SafariCloudHelper, which I needed to quit via Activity Monitor. I continued with the install but its stuck at 35% (and has been for ages now).
Tried a restart and simply back to square one.
Any ideas?
How can I download the application for offline installation? I need to download the application then copy it across to the branch office to run. The user's link to web is too slow to complete this through the normal installer.
I have a user who purchased the Acrobat Pro DC. She can download the installer but it will error out after a few minutes of trying to download the application. The first attempt went to 1% before failing. The second time went to 6%. The third time went to 7%.
Hi,
I have reimaged my PC and have had to re-install the fore mentioned software. When re-activiating after re-install with the original serial number, I receive the following message "Please enter a valid serial number".
Any ideas?

Hello.
We have about 30 Macs, most of which run Acrobat X. Since we upgraded to MacOS 10.12 (and indeed 10.12.1) Sierra, none of them are able to connect to Adobe update servers. Upon checking for updates It always says:
"Cannot connect to Adobe update server. Please verify that you are connected to the Internet and check for updates again. Error 1042."
Reinstalling Acrobat doesn't make any difference. Some of us have Acrobat XI or DC and those are fine.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
I recently upgraded my PC, and was trying to reinstall Adobe Acrobat X Standard. Earlier, I was able to download the program from my account pages. This option is no longer available. How do I proceed in order to obtain this program on my computer?
My workflow uses FM10 and Acrobat Pro to create .pdfs for sending out to clients. Just had a 'phone call from someone saying he can't open the .pdfs any more, even though he's been using them for a while. Acrobat Pro X brings up the bookmarks list, but then displays the message "There was an error processing this page. There was a problem reading this document (109)."
Any idea where the problem lies and what to do about it? I suspect it may be file-corruption at the client's end, but I'd welcome confirmation before telling him so!
Hello
I have installed Acrobat XI Pro on one computer machine, and now I would like to deactivate my license from that machine and install the same license on a new machine.
I will appreciate any possible help in this action please.
Thanks & regards
Ali

Since updating my Adobe Cloud subscription to use Adobe Acrobat DC, I get an error the first time I try to use it from an application like Word or Outlook 365. It pops up an error "Your request could not be completed. Adobe Acrobat DC license has either expired or not been activated." I never had this problem with Acrobat XI.

I just upgraded my compute and need the updates for Acrobat 9 Pro. All the "answers" point to ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/. But when I download the very first update, it tells me I don't have it installed or the version is wrong. It looks like all these updates are for standard not pro.
Hello,
A fellow employee requires Adobe Acrobat Pro to be installed for their use, and my management would like me to have this sorted out. The employee uses a thin client to connect to a terminal server for all of their administration work.
I only require a single license for Adobe Acrobat Pro to be used with a single user.
Will there be any license issues with installing Adobe Acrobat Pro on a Terminal Server?
Can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on a Terminal Server?
Thanks,
David
I can install and open Acrobat Pro DC as a domain administrator, but as soon as I log in as a user it closes immediately after opening. I've tried uninstalling with the cleanup tool and reinstalling, activating/deactivating it, repair install, making the user a temporary administrator, opening it under the local admin account, updated it, ran repair installation, installed all available windows updates/runtimes, Acrobat Pro DC refuses to stay open however under the user's profile.
A couple days ago I lost the ability to preview a pdf in the windows 7 explorer preview pane. I can still preview other documents including doc and jpg. Any ideas why this would disappear? Thanks!
I have adobe acrobat pro dc 2015 on disk from a previous download for my old laptop.
I purchased a new laptop that doesn't have a disk drive. How do I download pro dc to this laptop?
I subscribed to the monthly plan of Acrobat Pro DC and downloaded the installer and ran it in Administrator mode.
After proceeding to 75%, it waits for a long time and then gives me a C136 error with an option to retry or quit. I've attempted "retry" thrice, only to end up at the same place.
I also followed instructions in these forums and ran the Adobe CC cleanup tool as well as the uninstaller tool. It still does not get resolved.
